We are a family-owned and operated business proudly serving Central Pennsylvania since 1956. Built on a tradition of quality and reliability, we provide comprehensive excavating, paving, and site preparation services and supply premium enriched screened topsoil and other site work materials for commercial, industrial, and residential markets.
Our History:
- 1956: Richard E. Krall Inc. was founded by Rich Krall, specializing in excavating and paving services.
- 1994: Steve Krall, Rich’s son, became owner after decades of leadership and hands-on experience.
- 1997: Krall Contracting Inc. was established by Barbara Krall to manufacture and supply premium enriched screened topsoil and supply other sitework materials like regular topsoil, fill dirt and stone.
Today, these two trusted names operate under one brand, Krall Companies, to deliver end-to-end solutions for construction and residential projects.
Services:
Richard E. Krall Inc. is an excavating, paving and sitework contractor. Services include the following: repair and install water and sewer lines, perform clearing and grading of land, provide paving services, perform snow removal and provide trucking and hauling of sitework materials.
Krall Contracting Inc. manufactures premium enriched screened topsoil from excess topsoil recycled from construction job sites. The topsoil is screened to remove stone and debris, blended with organic materials, stored in covered buildings to keep moisture to a minimum, made by a mobile plant (allowing for onsite screening) and manufactured (allowing for a custom blending ratio per job specifications).
We also supply other sitework materials, including regular unscreened topsoil, clean fill dirt, stone and aggregates.
